Julie Samrick has been working as a journalist in her home of El Dorado County, California for ten years, where she lives with her husband and children. She is a graduate of UC Berkley with a B.A. in English.
In 2002 she left her job as a high school English teacher once her first child was born, but her passion for education- in and out of the classroom- has since intensified.
Julie is always in pursuit of good books, particularly ones that children will enjoy and grow a bit from after reading.
